The IceCreamists

There's nothing I like more than ice cream and crazy performances so The Icecreamists are pretty much ticking every box. The Icecreamists are an 'anonymous troupe of provocateurs and inconclasts with a background in staging dramatic high-profile events...' who originally used ice cream as a form of protest in the Soviet Union. Yes... They are 'foul-mouthed, anti-establishments and politically incorrect', insisting 'icecreamism' can bring the world together and is kind of like the new socialism. It's about as realistic and idealised as socialism so maybe they're onto something.

I haven't gone to see them yet but my friend Amelia told me they are something to see, and she's like a PR, advertisement, party-planning sensation so I'll take her word for it. They make boutique icecreams, pure frozen yoghurts, cryogenic cocktails, ice cream sandwiches, icequakes and you can create your own flavours. I'll have Lenin and lime sourbet followed by and strawberry and Stalinilla icecream sandwich, washed down with an Eastern Blocolate milkshake. Yum yum!

They are performing at Selfridges, in Oxford Street, until November 1st, so get your sweet tooth prepared and set the anarchist in you free.
